INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 – Tomatoes (Large and finely chopped)
  • 10 grams – Garlic
  • 25 grams – Ginger
  • 1 – Onion (Large)
  • 3 tsp – Oil
  • 2 tsp – Garam Masala
  • 1 ½ tsp – Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp – White Vinegar
  • 200 grams – Sugar
  • 1 tsp – Salt

HOW TO MAKE SWEET AND SPICY TOMATO CHUTNEY:

  • Heat a pan adds 1 tsp oil, add chopped tomatoes, cook 20 minutes once dry out. Set aside. 
  • Heat a pan adds 2 tsp of oil add chopped ginger, garlic and onion cook till the raw smell goes away completely.
  • Now add prepared tomato and mix well cook for a minute.
  • Add garam masala, red chilli powder, vinegar and salt. Mix well and cook for another minute. 
  • In this stage, add sugar and mix. The chutney consistency becomes liquidly as the sugar melts. Cook for 5 minutes but, don’t cook it for long because the chutney will thicken as it cools down.
  • Serve this chutney side dish of Bread, Chappathi, Roti, Dosai and any Special Rice.

TIPS:

  • Stored for up to a month in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
